Tarik McMillan is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Duquesne University & a background in Trauma-Based Counseling in residential, inpatient & private practice settings. His passion for counseling stems from personal experiences with counselors during his adolescent years in which he felt unable to connect and express himself freely. He made a promise to become a counselor that provides a space for clients to identify the source of their struggles & develop the tools necessary to address them appropriately. Born & raised on St. Croix, he understands the culture & stigma associated with mental health in the community. His firm belief in the transformative power of counseling fuels his drive to serve his community & break down the stigma associated with mental health.
Tamara Mohammed, LPC

Tamara is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor & Qualified Supervisor in FL, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor in NM, with a Masters of Science in Counseling from Barry University. She has direct experience working with adults, adolescents, children & families in a variety of settings to include inpatient psychiatric facilities, dependency & foster care, community mental health, private practice, military installations both in the mainland US & overseas, as well as in managed care. Tamara offers clients supportive & practical feedback with compassion and understanding to look at problems in a new way. Born and raised on the island of St. Croix, in the US Virgin Islands, Tamara’s life work & passion focuses on increasing access to much-needed wellness services for traditionally underserved populations through the provision of culturally responsive, client-centered services.

Zulima is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, a Certified Anger Management Specialist as well as a Certified Prepare/Enrich Pre-marital Counselor, with a Master of Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine. She has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, & families. Hailing from the beautiful island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Zulima is a multicultural clinician with a focus on creating a safe, judgement-free environment to work collaboratively with clients. Placing an emphasis on effective communication, Zulima encourages her clients to advocate for themselves assertively while respecting others in order to produce long-term change. Being a survivor of a major natural disaster, Zulima is particularly passionate and experienced working with individuals and families who have been impacted by trauma.
Master’s Level Intern – USVI
Juliseea is an aspiring professional counselor with a BA in Psychology at St. Augustine University, and is a School Counseling graduate student at UVI, with plans to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has worked with children & families in various settings as a mental health technician, a Strengthening Families program facilitator, an elementary and high school volleyball coach, a suicide prevention coordinator for military families, and is also currently a Family Support Specialist II. Her latest achievement is opening Mobile Tutoring Service 340 during the pandemic to help children who needed additional help and guidance throughout the new world of online learning. Juliseea has always been passionate about counseling & understands the importance of seeking help. She hopes to help end mental health stigma in her community through her work as a Master’s Level Intern at Greater Changes.
